| CHAKRAS are the 7 main energy centers of the body. They are in the center of the body, starting at the base of the spine and running up to the top of the head. They are the spinning wheels of conscious energy, in contact with the different bodily functions and emotions. People feel at their best when all the chakras are in balance with one another. Various techniques can be used when working with the chakras, both optimizing normal chakras to allow more ch'i energy through; and helping or balancing chakras that are unbalanced, blocked, or malfunctioning, and thus are not functioning properly. Since thought is an energy form, you can stimulate your chakra centers through meditation, visualization or breathing energy into your various chakra centers. It is associated with power, emotions and the nervous system. It rules our personal power, will, and autonomy, as well as our metabolism. It motivates us to bring about change. It is a focus point for our force of will and our sense of transformation. Concentration and control of our personal energies originate from this point. One’s sense of power and authority, as well as self-control and discipline of the ego converge here. This Chakra can be used to sense the very use of one’s internal energies to affect what is outside the body. Also related with optimism, self-confidence, spontaneity, flexibility, understanding. A sense of humor, joy and laughter are natural balanced expressions of the 3rd Chakra. Yellow is the symbol of the mind, intellect, high intelligence and wisdom. Feelings that stem from this love such as forgiveness, compassion, balance and harmony radiate from this point. It is the integrator of opposites in the psyche: mind and body, male and female, persona and shadow, ego and unity. Green symbolizes harmony, creativity, health, abundance and nature. When this chakra is balanced , there is a sense of calm, clear-sightedness, friendliness and tolerance of others. It is related to communication and creativity, self-expression and the search for truth. It produces calm and peace. It is the center of consciousness as pure awareness. It is tied to the exploration of one’s place in space and time. It is our connection to the greater world beyond, to a timeless, spaceless place of all-knowing. This center is associated with highest wisdom, knowledge, and unification of the higher self. This is the Chakra that opens us to the Divine and brings us to higher realms. It is a place of oneness, unity and understanding. This chakra links individual and universe. This chakra brings us knowledge, wisdom, understanding, spiritual connection, and bliss. When it has reached it's full potential it brings oneness with the universe, your spirit and will, inspiration, divine wisdom. |
